WEDNESDAY

We’ll have the best build-up throughout the day on all our official channels as United bid to win the first trophy of Ole’s reign. We’ll be hearing from a number of players and looking back on how the Reds reached the final, while also discussing the all-important team selection.

It’s also a big anniversary for all United fans – not only was Sir Matt Busby born on 26 May but, of course, we came from behind to win the Treble by defeating Bayern Munich 2-1 at the Nou Camp in 1999. Ole will perhaps spare a moment to recall that one while focusing on the task in hand.

It is also the anniversary of the 1983 FA Cup success against Brighton & Hove Albion, a 4-0 replay win which featured a couple of goals for super skipper Bryan Robson.

THURSDAY

Who knows what the day will bring? Hopefully, we’ll be reacting to a Europa League victory and marking the occasion properly. There are other repercussions to consider, such as a place in Pot One for the 2021/22 Champions League group-stage draw and also a UEFA Super Cup final against either Manchester City or Chelsea in August.

Let’s hope we are in a celebratory mood!

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson’s documentary Never Give In will be released in cinemas.
