Dean’s message to fans after Euro 2020 injury

It was confirmed by the Football Association earlier today that our Academy graduate has sustained a hip problem that means he cannot play any role in the tournament.

Henderson was on the bench for Sunday’s 1-0 win over Croatia at Wembley Stadium, but on Monday he was forced to work indoors away from the main training group at St. George’s Park – which suggested there was an issue.

After further tests and consideration, Dean has now been replaced by Aaron Ramsdale as per UEFA regulations that permits nations to change goalkeepers on medical grounds at any stage.
